It seems that we will never see Neill Blomkamp’s Alien 5. The good news is, the director announced back in April that he and his Banner, Oats Studios, would be releasing a series of experimental short films via Stream. Now, the trailer for Volume 1 is here and it is fantastic.
In the trailer we see our world taken over by aliens and humanity fighting for survival. The new reality is adapt or die. If you watch closely, you will even get a quick glimpse of Sigourney Weaver, that’s right, Ripley herself.
There is no word as to when the shorts will premiere, but you are not going to want to miss them, especially if you’re a fan of Blomkamp, Weaver, the Alien franchise, and sci-fi.
