A few days ago we reported that Danny McBride and David Gordon Green are making Michael Myers mortal again. Since then, McBride appeared on the Jim Norton & Sam Roberts Show to reveal more details surrounding their upcoming Halloween movie and confirmed that filming is set to begin this fall. Get Out Director Jordan Peele Is Heading To Lovecraft Country

It appears Get Out writer-director Jordan Peele is Heading to Lovecraft Country. Peele’s Monkey Paw Productions is teaming up with J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot and Warner Bros. on a new one-hour series, titled Lovecraft Country, that will call HBO home. Underground creator Misha Green is currently penning the script for the pilot, based on the 2016 book by Matt Ruff. The series centers on 25-year-old Atticus Black. After his father goes missing, Black joins up with his friend Letitia and his Uncle George to embark on a road trip across 1950’s America to find him. This begins a struggle to survive and overcome both the racist terrors of white America and the malevolent spirits that could be ripped from a Lovecraft paperback. Peele brought the book to Green’s attention. “When I first read Lovecraft Country, I knew it had the potential to be unlike anything else on television.” Green said. Simon Pegg And Nick Frost Teaming Up For New Horror Comedy, Sort Of

Who didn’t love Simon Pegg and Nick Frost in Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz or The World’s End? You may have been wondering if they would ever team up for another horror-comedy. The good news is that they are, sort of. Pegg and Frost have now teamed up to create a brand new film and television company called Stolen Picture, Deadline reports. ‘Popular’ Actress Joins American Horror Story For Season 7

Filming will soon begin on season seven of American Horror Story, premiering this fall. So far several cast members have been announced, including returning cast Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters. Today, there is more casting news thanks to an Instagram post by creator Ryan Murphy. Newcomers Billie Lourd and Billy Eicher will be joined by Leslie Grossman who Murphy describes as “one of the funniest and most talented ladies” he knows. Grossman is familiar with political drama after starring in the series Scandal. She has co-starred in many other series including Speechless, 2 Broke Girls, Major Crimes, Dexter, Nip/Tuck, 10 Things I Hate About You, and the series Popular. Fox Orders GHOSTED Series And Releases Trailer

Fox has greenlit the paranormal comedy series Ghosted, starring Adam Scott and Craig Robinson who have worked together before on the 2015 comedy Hot Tub Time Machine 2. Sarah Baker, Adeel Akhtar, Edi Petterson, Linc Hand, Christian Calloway, and Tisha French co-star The series, being described as a funny version of The X-Files, follows “a cynical skeptic (Robinson) and a genius “true believer’ in the paranormal (Scott) who are recruited by the The Bureau Underground to look into the rampant ‘unexplained’ activity in Los Angeles, all while uncovering a larger mystery that could threaten the existence of the human race.” Tom Gormican, who wrote the pilot, will serve as executive producer along with Naomi Scott, Oly Obst, Mark Schulman, Scott and Robinson. ‘Workaholics’ Kevin Etten will also be executive producing as well as working as the showrunner. Supernatural Indie Film THE BLACK GLOVES Recieves Praise From Guillermo Del Toro

The trailer for Lawrie Brewster and Sarah Daly’s upcoming supernatural thriller The Black Gloves, their fourth film together including The Unkindness of Ravens, is getting a lot of attention. Recently, legendary writer-director Guillermo del Toro praised the trailer for the film saying that it is “Very good. Great images and great visual storytelling and evocation of Soavi and Bava.” From the Press Release: Responding to a Tweet from screenwriter Sarah Daly, the legendary director praised the film’s trailer, saying it was “Very good. Zac Efron To Star As Ted Bundy In EXTREMELY WICKED, SHOCKINGLY EVIL AND VILE

Just as Baywatch is arriving in theaters, Zac Efron has signed on to star in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile from Oscar-nominated director Joe Berlinger. The film will take a new approach to Bundy’s terrifyingly real tale, it will be told from the perspective of Bundy’s longtime girlfriend Elizabeth Kloepfer. Kloepfer suffered through years of rumors and accusations. She eventually turned Bundy into police. Bundy only confessed his crimes when his execution date drew near. He ultimately claimed responsibility for the 30 murders of young woman during the 1970’s, but law officials believe the number is actually much higher. Not only was he a serial killer, he was also a rapist, burglar, and necrophile. The reason he could allegedly get so close to his victims was that he was both handsome, charming and convincing. Russell Crowe Transforms Into Dr. Jekyll In The New Featurette From THE MUMMY

A new sneak peek featurette has been unveiled by Universal Pictures for their remake of The Mummy. In the video we see Russell Crowe transform into Dr. Jekyll as he schools Nick (Tom Cruise) on “evil”. We also see what appears to be a vampire skull, a possible link to Dracula. New Details Surface Surrounding THE PURGE Television Series

Earlier this year, Blumhouse Television in conjunction with ITV Studios and Universal announced that a Purge television series is in the works. More details have now surfaced. The series, which will air on both Syfy and USA, will premiere in 2018 along with the next Purge sequel. Jason Blum dropped more details, Deadline reports. According to Blum the series will open up “an entirely new chapter in America’s 12 hours of annual lawlessness” and will “reveal to the fans what happens the other 364 day of the year and how that law affects people.” The franchise’s creator James DeMonaco will be writing and directing the series as well as serving as executive producer along with Sebastien K. Lemercier and Platinum Dunes.

SCREAM QUEENS Gets The Axe

Scream Queens has had a killer good time over the past two seasons, but there will not be a third season. Fox has axed the show from producers Ryan Murphy, Ian Brennan and Brad Fulchuk. The reason, the ratings. The series only brought in an average of 2.3 million viewers this season. Scream Queens was set on a college campus in season one, where a sorority was stalked by killers dressed as red devils. The second season, starring Jamie Lee Curtis, Lea Michele, Emma Roberts, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer, Billie Lourd, Taylor Lautner, and John Stamos, was set in a hospital.
