Joneston Films and Concept Media Films present the genre thriller Angel from award-winning writer-director Tory Jones (The Wicked One).
In the film, a brutal massacre plagued the isolated and peaceful town of Raven Rock in 1986, the remaining residents fled, leaving the once tranquil community behind. For thirty years the town has been chained and walled off from the outside world while deteriorating and crumbling. However, not all has been quiet as disappearances have been attributed to the supposedly haunted town. Now a headstrong journalist and her team venture to Raven Rock to investigate the town, its history, and the missing persons. What they will discover is sometimes the truth is more disturbing than myth and Raven Rock is still being occupied.
The exciting thing to me about Angel is we are developing a fully immersive world that those who experience it can get lost in. The story is gripping, the locations are surreal, and our antagonist is female. It’s fresh, it’s unique, and it’s story driven. And I think that sets it apart from the route a majority of indie films take. We take this into some dark places and it’s going to be exciting to see how people react to it.” Jones said about the film.
