Described as Heart of Darkness in deep space, James Gray’s Ad Astra is currently building its cast list. Deadline is reporting that Tommy Lee Jones is in final negotiations to co-star alongside Brad Pitt.
While Jones’ role has not been revealed we do know that Pitt will play Roy McBride, a slightly autistic space engineer.
In the film, an Army Corps engineer searches across the galaxy for his father, who disappeared on a mission to find alien life 20 years ago.
Directed by James Gray, Ad Astra was co-written by Ethan Gross. Gray also produces alongside Marc Butan, Anthony Katagas, and Rodrigo Teixeira. Sophie Mas and Lourenςo Sant’Anna serve as executive producers.
