Sony Acquires ‘Nightlight’ From The Producer Of ‘Nightmare On Elm Street’

Sony has picked up the feature Nightlight with Bob Shaye (The Nightmare on Elm Street franchise), who founded New Line, on board as a producer under the banner of his company Unique Pictures. Tyler MacIntyre (Tragedy Girls) will be directing and penned the script is from director Tyler MacIntyre who co-wrote the film with Chris Hill. that centers on a 10-year-old boy who must fight off invaders while he’s been left home alone.
The film centers on a 10-year-old boy who must fight off home invaders while he’s home alone. No cast has been announced at this time.
Sara Rastogi will be overseeing production for Sony’s Columbia Pictures division. Vince Gatewood and Michael Lynne will also be serving as producers on the film.
