Over the past few years, we’ve seen several films that were secretly made and premiered as a surprise for fans, Like J.J. Abrams 10 Cloverfield Lane, Adam Wingard’s film The Woods that actually turned out to be Blair Witch the sequel to 1999’s found footage film The Blair Witch Project. Last week fans who attended the 10th-anniversary screening for Hatchet were surprised with Victor Crowley, a brand new film. Now, another genre film is continuing the trend of secret movies.
The secret sequel to The Gallows was revealed earlier this week when word got out that an advanced screening was held on the WB lot in Burbank. That’s right, The Gallows 2 is not only made but completed.
Set 20 years after the events of the original movie, stars Auuna Rue as a young woman who has transferred to a prestigious new school. Her desires are twisted by a viral challenge to capture a spirit.
Ema Horvath, Brittany Falardeau, and Chris Milligan co-star. The director of the film has yet to revealed, which is a bit odd.
We will update you when we know more.
