Andy Muschietti’s adaptation of  Stephen King’s IT is now officially the highest grossing genre film of all time, raking in over $700 million at the box office in three weeks, beating out The Exorcist. It’s no wonder that Muschietti is already moving forward with part 2. News has come that part 2 now has a release date, September 6, 2019.
Gary Dauberman will be returning to pen the film which will center on the Losers Club as adults. There is no word yet who might be cast. as the adults.
Jaeden Lieberher, Sophia Lillis, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Finn Wolfhard, Wyatt Oleff, Jack Dylan Grazer, and Chosen Jacobs, who starred as the Losers’ Club, will be back to reprise their roles in part 2 in flashbacks for their adult versions. In the miniseries, Mike Hanlon was the only member of the club that stayed in Derry.
