The 13th Friday director Justin Price (interview) is set to deliver S.O.H.N.: The Rise of Achak from writers Shaun Cairo and Cristiano Demoham who will also both be producing.
In S.O.H.N. the lead role is played by Luca Oriel who was featured as Derek, the father of Debbie Gallagher’s baby, in ‘Shameless’.
Ronnie Connell (Ticket to Hell) and Bronson Pelletier (The Twilight Saga) co-star.
Cairo told Dread Central that “S.O.H.N.: The Rise of Achak will introduce the world to a ‘new’ horror icon like Jason Voorhees and Michael Myers, but of Native American origin.”
The film, set on the last day of school centers on, “A group of teenagers decides to go camping in the forest outside the city limits of Coos Bay, Oregon. They arrive in a beautiful, well-preserved area of the forest and set up camp there; however, it is not long before the group members find out that they are not alone and how much danger they are really in. The forest spirit that is believed to dwell within has set its sight upon everyone and will rest at nothing until all are dead.”
S.O.H.N.: The Rise of Achak will arrive sometime in January of 2019 and has already been acquired by Unmanned Media.
