The Tremors franchise has 5 sequels if you count the upcoming film, but Kevin Bacon, who stared as Val in the 1990 original, was absent in each of them. Bacon is now making his return to the franchise in Syfy’s ‘Tremors’ series.
Recently Bacon shared that the show has wrapped filming for its pilot episode via his Instagram account with the message “So long to NM. Had an amazing time shooting this pilot. Hope I can keep walking in these boots. #Tremors”.

The series picks up 25 years after the Graboids nearly destroyed the remote town of Perfection, Nevada. Bacon returns to reprise his role as Valentine “Val” McKee who must attempt to save the town once again while dealing with alcoholism, age, and a serious case of Delusional Hero Complex.
J. Byrne, Hunter Parrish, Ebonèe Noel, Haley Tju, Brandon Jay McLaren, Emily Tremaine, Shiloh Fernandez, Megan Ketch, Toks Olagundoye, and John Ellison Conlee co-star.
Vincenzo Natali directed the pilot from the script written by Andrew Miller, who also serves as Showrunner and executive producer for ‘Tremors’, from Universal Cable Productions. Bacon and David Schiff will also executive produce with Blumhouse Television.
