Quentin Tarantino is gearing up for his next film. It is being reported by Deadline that the Kill Bill writer/director already has a star in mind for one of the two leads, Mission Impossible star Tom Cruise.

Currently untitled, the film is set in 1969 and is said to have a similar structure as his 1994 cult classic Pulp Fiction. One of the storylines is said to center on Sharon Tate. Tarantino has met with Suicide Squad actress Margot Robbie to the play the role of Tate who murdered in real life by the infamous Manson Family.
For months there have been rumors that Brad Pitt, Samuel L. Jackson, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Jennifer Lawrence will also have roles in the film, but none have been confirmed at this time.
This movie will be Tarantino’s ninth film and the first he’s made without Harvey Weinstein being involved. Tarantino is currently looking for a new studio for the film since he has broken ties with the Weinsteins following Harvey’s multiple allegations of sexual abuse and harassment.
Cruise’s most recent films were Universal’s The Mummy, part of their Dark Universe franchise, and American Made which follows a pilot turned drug runner for the CIA.
