London, Friday 24 November 2017 – Ash Mountain Films today announced that Left Films has acquired their debut feature film “Dogged” for distribution in North America, UK and Eire for an anticipated Q2 release, 2018.

Following a massively positive festival run for the film, which has included winning “Best International Horror Feature” at Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival, “Best Horror Feature” at Glasgow Horror Fest, “Best Horror Feature” and “Best actor in a feature film” at the Shawna Shea Memorial Film Festival and “Best Producers” at San Antonio Horrific Film Festival, as well as official selections at festivals around the world, Left Films will be distributing the unique folk-horror film which has garnered critical acclaim.

Adapted from the award-winning short film of the same name, director Richard Rowntree has made a film which Dread Central said “uses every minute of frame to craft this folksy horror flick into a living, breathing piece of cinematic
frightfulness…make sure to give this one a good look”.

“Dogged” is a dark psychological thriller centers on a young man named Sam who returns to the small tidal island where he was raised to attend a funeral. He soon discovers that the isolated rural community harbour some deep secrets, and as he
attempts to uncover the truth about a young girl’s death, he’s lured into a dangerous cat and mouse game with a sinister group of masked maniacs who will stop at nothing to protect their own identities, and hide the horrifying truths about
their mysterious island.
Dogged will see release in 2018 from Left Films. For updates and more follow the film on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and visit the official website.
