The poster for Ari Aster’s Hereditary is here and along with the first image (below) that teases an unhappy family.
Starring Toni Collette, Gabriel Byrne, Alex Wolff, Ann Dowd, and Milly Shapiro, the film is set after the family’s their reclusive grandmother passes away and they learn that they have inherited a very dark secret.
“When Ellen, the matriarch of the Graham family, passes away, her daughter’s family begins to unravel cryptic and increasingly terrifying secrets about their ancestry. The more they discover, the more they find themselves trying to outrun the sinister fate they seem to have inherited. Hereditary will make its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, followed by a theatrical release later this year from A24.
