This February, arriving on Netflix is Duncan Jones’ Mute starring Alexander Skarsgård as a bartender who goes up against the city’s gangsters to find answers about his missing partner in this futuristic thriller.
Set in the near-future, Leo (Skarsgård) is a bartender living in Berlin.Leo lost the ability to speak in a childhood accident. The only good thing in his life is his beautiful girlfriend Naadirah (Seyneb Saleh). When she vanishes without a trace, Leo’s search for her takes him deep into the city’s seedy underbelly. A pair of wise-cracking American surgeons (Paul Rudd and Justin Theroux) are the only recurring clue and Leo is forced to take on this teeming underworld in order to find his love.
Directed by Duncan Jones and written by Jones and Michael Robert Johnson. Stuart Fenegan, Charles J.D. Schissel, and Trevor Beattie serve as executive producers with Stuart Fenegan producing.
Mute arrives on Netflix is available on February 23, 2018.
