It appears Lizzie McGuire actress Hilary Duff is starring in her first horror film. Duff has been hinting through social media posts that she is set to play murdered actress Sharon Tate, who was killed along with several friends by the Mason Family. In one photo Duff is sporting a fake pregnancy belly and a pink gown just like Tate was wearing when she was killed.

Now, there is more evidence. Tonight, a Twitter account by the name of “Hilary Duff News” shared more photos and confirmed that Duff is indeed playing Tate in The Haunting of Sharon Tate, based on a popular theory that Tate’s ghost haunts the home where she died. The tweet also mentions that Daniel Farrands is involved and that filming has already begun.

Farrands produced Amityville: the Awakening, The Haunting in Connecticut, along with several other films and several genre documentaries, which he also wrote and directed.
The Haunting of Sharon Tate is the third film involving Charles Manson to enter production since he passed away in November. Both Quinten Tarantino and the writers/directors of American Psycho have Manson films in early production. Leonardo DiCaprio has signed on to Tarantino’s film, with Matt Smith in talks for the other film. There is also a documentary being made narrated by Rob Zombie. We’ll keep you posted.
