Imagine if you will, that your parent passes away and everything that they have ever hold told you about themselves and you is a lie. That’s exactly what happens in Netflix’s upcoming supernatural series “Requiem”.
“Requiem“, which will feature six hour-long episodes that center on a young woman (Wilson) who learns the truth about herself, to the point of unraveling her own identity, after her mother passes away.
Penned by Kris Mrksa (Glitch), the series will star UK actress Lydia Wilson (pictured above) who also had a role in the hit series Ripper Street. Joel Fry (Plebs), Game of Thrones‘ Tara Fitzgerald, and James Frencheville (Animal Kingdom) co-star.
“In 1994, a toddler disappeared from a small village, never to be seen again. 23 years later, in London, the mother of Matilda Gray (Lydia Wilson) commits suicide. As Matilda grapples with her mother’s death, she discovers evidence linking her mother to the girl’s disappearance… uncovering long-buried secrets including one secret more bizarre, terrifying and dangerous than anything she could have imagined.”
“Requiem” will be executive produced by Polly Hill of BBC One, Charlie Pattinson and Elaine Pyke for New Pictures, and Willow Grylls.
