Alexandre Aja ( The Hills Have Eyes, Piranha 3D) is gearing up to debut his VR anthology series titled “Campfire Creepers” and we have a couple of new images to share with you.
The series “invites the viewer to join the fire circle at Camp Coyote as a group of campers take turns telling scary stories, each one leading you on an immersive ride into your darkest childhood fears.”
The first installment, “Campfire Creepers: The Skull of Sam,” stars horror legend Robert Englund (Nightmare on Elm Street) and will debut at Tribeca this April.
The debut episode is, “A creepy tale of a couple who encounters a vicious stranger in the woods, who has plans to add them to his rather unique collection. By injecting humor into this horrific scenario, the experience invites audiences to laugh between the screams.”
The Tribeca film festival will run from April 18th and April 29th. “The Skull of Sam” will premiere as part of the VR genre lineup “It’s Right Behind You.”
“Campfire Creepers” was co-created and written by Martin Andersen and Casey Cooper Johnson. Oculus and Future Lighthouse are producing.
