While we have yet to see the Michael Myers mask from this year’s Halloween, we do have some news about it. Makeup artist and mask designer Christopher Nelson has revealed that the new mask has an aged feel that looks as if it has been in use original film in 1978.
Trick or Treat Studios announced over the weekend that they will be the official licensor for this year’s David Gordon-Green’s direct sequel to the original. The company will be producing exact replicas of Nelson’s mask right from the same molds as the new screen-used mask. Nelson and Vincent Van Dyke, Nelson’s effects partner have also joined the Trick or Treat design team.
We are thrilled to announce that Trick or Treat Studios is the official Costume Licensor for Halloween 2018! We are producing the masks now from toolings that come directly out of the screen used mold!” they added. “You guys and ghouls are going to be blown away! This mask is awesome!”
Michael comes home on October 19, 2018.
