After making one hell of an impact at the box office, pulling in over $200 million worldwide, it’s no surprise that Paramount has now officially confirmed during CinemaCon that A Quiet Place is getting a sequel. Jim Gianopulos, Paramount Studio’s chairman made the announcement.
A Quiet Place writer’s Bryan Woods and Scott Beck made it clear that they have plenty of ideas for the sequel.
It’s such a fun world,” Woods told Fandango during a conversation a couple of weeks ago. “There are so many things you could do.” Beck added, “There are so many discarded set pieces, too, just hiding out on Word documents on our computer. So, yeah, there are certainly so many stories you could tell.”
There is been no word of when the sequel might see release or if John Krasinski, who both starred, co-wrote, and directed A Quiet Place, will be involved.
Krasinski recently filled in fans on the origin story of the creatures in the movie, which you can read all about here.
In the film co-starring Emily Blunt, The family, living a quiet life in their home in the woods, lead a silent life, only communicating with sign language. It seems there is a reason for that. If they make the smallest noise they will incur the wrath of terrible creatures.
