A once-thriving Midwestern city now choking on political corruption, organized crime, and runaway violence. However, a burned-out homicide detective, Derek Tucker, may be the city’s only hope for survival.

This balls-to-the-walls film was written and directed by Drew Fortier. He also stars as Tucker.

Bunker Heights begins with a routine investigation. But it rapidly collapses into utter urban chaos. What starts as a botched bank robbery and a high-profile political assassination quickly becomes something far more sinister. A creature-filled threat buried deep beneath the city pavement emerges, and the body count rises.

Retro Practical Effects and 80s Monster Mayhem

Deliberately echoing beloved cult classics, it serves as an unapologetic throwback to the golden era of 1980s and 1990s horror-comedies. Packed with tactile, practical FX monsters, outrageous humor, and offbeat charm, Bunker Heights combines crime noir with slime-drenched creature-feature mayhem.

Cult Legends and Physical Media Release

The stacked lineup of horror favorites includes Hannah Fierman (V/H/S), Chaney Morrow (Haunt), Paul T. Taylor (Hellraiser: Judgment), and Floyd Ewing Jr. (The Dead Next Door). Adding to the wild ensemble are high-profile appearances from Violent J of Insane Clown Posse, Sponge frontman Vinnie Dombroski, and former Megadeth bassist David Ellefson.

MVD Entertainment will unleash Bunker Heights worldwide on October 13, 2026, across digital platforms and physical media. However, the release is headlined by a feature-packed 2-Disc Limited Edition Blu-ray and DVD, with pre-orders now open.
