The new poster for HBO‘s upcoming series “Sharp Objects” might leave you feeling tense, and not sure why. While it looks normal enough, it feels like something is lurking just below the surface. The poster may say “welcome home”, but it doesn’t look very welcoming to me.
Starring Amy Adams (Arrival), Patricia Clarkson (The Green Mile), April Brinson (The Veil), Violet Brinson (The Veil), and Matt Craven (X-Men: First Class), the series is from director Jean-Marc Vallée and written by Marti Noxon.
“Based on the book by The New York Times bestselling author Gillian Flynn (Gone Girl, Dark Places), this eight-episode series tells the story of reporter Camille Preaker (Adams) who returns to her small hometown to cover the murders of two preteen girls. Trying to put together a psychological puzzle from her past, she finds herself identifying with the young victims a bit too closely.”
Sharp Objects” is set to premiere July 8, 2018.
