Listen up, grab your Twinkies and brace yourself, Sony has just officially announced the sequel to Zombieland. I know what you’re thinking, here we go again. This time not only has the cast been announced, it has a release date!
Zombieland director Ruben Fleisher is returning for part two and he’s teaming back up with the original’s writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, who were also behind Deadpool.
Filming is set to begin in January with the original cast, Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg, and Abigail Breslin. Gavin Polone is back as a producer with Reese and Wernick executive producing.

Zombieland 2 will open in theaters nationwide October 2019 to mark the 10th anniversary of Zombieland‘s original release.
