Movie Review: Elizabeth Harvest (2018)

Elizabeth, recently hitched to brainiac science whiz Henry (played with equal parts charm and menace by Ciaran Hinds), finds herself living the high life in H-dawg’s opulent mansion, eatin’ fancy grub and generally havin’ a real princess style good time. Soon ol’ hubby has to skedaddle off on some business thing or anther and he leaves Elizabeth in the care of the servants; blind Oliver (Matthew Beard) who digs on flower arranging (as one does), and vaguely ominous Claire (a many nuanced turn from Carla Gugino)…and he also tells her there is one room in the house she must never enter. She of course does this a mere p.h. after he leaves and discovers a strange experiment…and when Henry discovers that she’s disobeyed he hacks her to pieces with a rather large knife. And then things get very, very strange…but to say more would give too much of the story away as nothing is as it seems or predictable! With

A flock of Satanic priests summon a demon made of shadows and charge it with taking the soul of a young boy, Chris (Kevin Zegers) destined to be a saint. Without his soul that lil’ tyke will fling open the doors to hell with wild abandon and unleash all manner of destruction upon our big blue marble. Movie Review: What Still Remains (2018)

In a shitty future in which humanity has been nearly decimated by a disease that turns normal folk into bloodthirsty lunatics, Anna (Lulu Antariksa) lives with her brother and dying mother in a small cabin in the woods. The siblings make treks to the remains of a nearby city to scavenge for whatever they can find to survive…but they have to be careful, for if they stay too long the dwellers of the ruins, the Berserkers (who legend has it infected themselves with the aforementioned disease on purpose), will find them and be rather agitated…and by that I mean completely prone to murderizing anyone they see. Short story short, Anna’s brother buys it and her dying mother changes roles to become her dead mother leaving our plucky heroine alone in a hostile world. Netflix’s “Mindhunter” Will Explore Manson And More In Season 2

True crime fans were beyond pleased with the first season of Netflix’s “Mindhunter”. Viewers witnessed two agents, played by Jonathan Groff and Holt McCallany, as they developed the method of profiling that law enforcement agencies use today. Starring Jonathan Groff, Holt McCallanay, Anna Torv, Anna Torv, Hannah Gross, and Cameron Britton, season one of“Mindhunter” is set in 1979 and centers on the inquisitive and skilled FBI Agent Bill Tench (McCallany) along with fellow serial killer investigator in the behavioral science unit, FBI Agent Holden Ford (Groff). Rebecca Ferguson Joins ‘Men In Black’

Before filming begins on Mike Flanagan’s sequel to The Shining, Doctor Sleep, actress Rebecca Ferguson is set to star alongside Thor: Ragnarok actors Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Tompson in the new Men in Black movie, Deadline reports. Directed by F. Gary Gray (Friday), the film co-stars Liam Neeson, Emma Thompson, Rafe Spall, and Kumail Nanjani. Written by Matt Holloway and Art Marcum (Iron Man) the movie is being produced by Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald with Steven Spielberg returning as executive producer. The movie is set to relaunch the franchise on a global scale and began production in July in London with a June 14, 2019, theatrical date set.

Tom Sizemore Goes To War In ‘Nazi Overlord’ This November

Seasoned actor Tom Sizemore is ready to go to war in Rob Pallatina‘s World War Two set film Nazi Overlord. In the film, “A D-Day rescue mission turns deadly when a band of soldiers discovers a group of Nazis creating horrific experiments that will all but ensure Allied defeat if the creations escape.” Anthony Jensen, Matthew Amerman, Greg Furman, Trent Mills, Damien Joseph Quinn, Andrew Liberty, and Benjamin Schnau co-star. Rob Pallatina (Alien Convergence) directs from a script penned by Scotty Mullen, who also wrote Sharknado: It’s About Time premiering this month on Syfy. Set to arrive on VOD and DVD on November 13, 2018, Nazi Overlord, from The Asylum, will go to war with the J.J. Abrams-produced film Overlord in theaters November 9th, which has a similar plot, but a much bigger budget and a killer trailer.

Blu-ray Review: Desecration (1999)

Bobby (Danny Lopes) loses his mother while still an infant; an event which scrambles his eggs and leaves him off-kilter six ways to Sunday Bloody Sunday! Naturally he ends up inadvertently putting the murder on a nun via remote control airplane (as one does) which has the result of unleashing a supernatural hell upon the Catholic School, not to mention his devout Grandmother (played to the hilt by Irma St. Paule) he attends resulting in a nun sliced to ribbons by flying scissors, folks dropping into holes in the Earth that seemingly lead to hell, children’s toys falling from the ceiling, holy sisters becoming rather unholy…and then shit gets really, really weird! Will Bobby be able to survive this arcane assault, or will he become Hell’s newest poster child (and just what part does his dearly departed mother play in the supernatural scheme)?!! Directed with more atmospherics and fever dream imagery then one would deem humanly possible, writer/director/composer Dante Tomaselli

Paramount Adapting Serial Killer Short Film ‘Meet Jimmy’

Paramount Pictures has snagged the rights to David-Jan Bronsgeest and Tim Koomen‘s short film Meet Jimmy, with plans to adapt it as a feature film with Platinum Dunes, Deadline reports. While much of the plot of the feature is being kept quiet, but we do know that the short centers around a mysterious podcast and a serial killer named Jimmy Two Fingers who chokes people to death by forcing his fingers down their throat. That’s a rough way to go. Meet Jimmy is already being described as A Nightmare on Elm Street meets The Ring.
