Director Neil Marshall (The Descent) is taking Hellboy to a much darker place with his new “R” film starring David Harbour (Stranger Things). The new poster has been released and it is badass, making us rethink the doubts we had when the film was first announced.
Milla Jovovich plays the role of Nimue, the villain of the film, Ian McShane plays Professor Broom, Daniel Dae Kim plays Major Ben Daimio, Penelope Mitchell acts as Ganeida and Sasha Lane as Alice. Sophie Okonedo, Brian Gleeson, and Alistar Petrie co-star.
This time around, Hellboy (Harbour) squares off against a medieval sorceress (Jovovich) who seeks to destroy humankind.
Aron Coleite wrote the latest version of the script penned by Andrew Cosby, Christopher Golden, and Hellboy creator Mike Mignola. Christa Campbell, Lati Grobman, and Carl Hampe executive produced the film.
Hellboy will open in theaters nationwide on April 12, 2019.
