Tulip Pictures and Barraca Producciones, in association with Lightning Rod Events, has announced that Lorena Villarreal‘s true-life inspired sci-fi thriller Silencio will land in U.S. cinemas later this October.

“In order to save her son’s life, Ana must find a powerful stone. Her grandfather originally discovered it in the Zone of Silence, the Bermuda Triangle of Mexico. Throughout her desperate search, Ana stumbles upon family secrets and enemies who believe the stone’s power is worth killing for.”

Silencio, written and directed by Lorena Villarreal, stars John Noble (The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, The Lord of The Rings: The Return of The King), Rupert Graves (V for Vendetta, BBC’s Sherlock), Melina Matthews (Mama, The Chessplayer), Michel Chauvet (Telemundo’s La Querida Del Centauro, Archivo 253), and Hoze Meléndez (I Dream in Another Language, Almacenados).
