Following a successful festival tour and theatrical run, Jenn Wexler‘s indie punk horror flick The Ranger will be arriving on Shudder‘s streaming service from Glass Eye Pix and Hood River Entertainment.
In the film, “When Chelsea and her friends get in trouble with the cops, they flee the city and go on the run. Fueled by a hallucinogenic drug called Echo, they hope to lay low-and get high-in an old family hideout in the woods. But Chelsea’s got reservations about going back to nature and secrets she’s not sharing with her friends. When a shot rings out, her past comes crashing back, and the punks find themselves pitted against the local authority- an unhinged park ranger with an ax to grind.
Jeremy Holm (“House of Cards”, “Mr. Robot”), Chloe Levine (The Transfiguration, The OA), and Amanda Grace Benitez (All Cheerleaders Die) star alongside Jeremy Pope, Granit Lahu, and Bubba Weiler. The Ranger was written by Jenn Wexler and Giaco Furino

Shudder is the streaming service of horror fans’ dreams, made by and for people who love the genre,” says Wexler. “The Ranger is my tribute to punks in horror, and I can’t wait to share it with all of Shudder’s members.”

Andrew van den Houten and Ashleigh Snead produced for Hood River Entertainment along with Larry Fessenden and Heather Buckley of Glass Eye Pix. The film will premiere exclusively on AMC’s Shudder in 2019.
