The next horror remake is coming from Roxanne Benjamin, who was one of the directors the fantastic 2015 indie horror film Southbound, is remaking 1984’s horror-comedy Night of the Comet for Orion Pictures. She will also be writing the script, Deadline reports. According to the site, the new version will be more horror than comedy this time around.
The original was written and directed by Thom Eberhardt and centered on two sisters fighting zombies after a comet wipes out most of the life on Earth. Kelli Maroney, Catherine Mary Stewart, and Robert Beltran starred.
