Supernatural horror fans are in for a claustrophobic, slow-burn descent into madness. Director Jesse Korman’s upcoming feature film, Yellow Eyes, has unleashed a new trailer ahead of its release.
Driven by a screenplay written by Mickey Solis, the story plunges viewers into a nightmare of escalating compulsion and ancient evil. Produced by indie horror heavyweight Joe Swanberg alongside Ben Gojer, the narrative centers on Brad and Julia. They are a young couple whose lives are completely upended after inheriting a deteriorating home. However, while clearing out the decaying house, they uncover a mysterious, ancient demonic idol concealed deep within its crumbling walls.
From Intriguing Artifact to Unholy Addiction
What begins as curiosity surrounding a strange and potentially valuable artifact rapidly turns into a terrifying fight for survival. The idol begins to exert a subtle, seductive influence over Brad. As the sinister corruption takes root, Brad undergoes unsettling physical transformations. His eyes shift to a sickening, unnatural yellow. Suddenly, a foul, tar-like black oil begins manifesting around their home. The entity’s influence spreads outward, infecting those around them. However, Julia desperately searches for answers.
As Brad slips further away into the grip of the demon, Julia is forced to confront an insatiable evil that systematically transforms human desire into fatal addiction, demanding blood to sustain its presence in our world.
A Powerhouse Ensemble Drives a Devastating Battle for Survival
The film relies on a tight, emotionally charged ensemble cast to deliver its visceral terror—Nena Martins stars as Julia, with Michael Kunicki as the deteriorating Brad. The supporting cast features compelling performances from Jimmy Chung, Margo O’Connell, and DeVaughn Loman, bringing a grounded, human intensity to this haunting exploration of grief, temptation, and demonic possession.
Watch Yellow Eyes, premiering exclusively on Screambox on August 18.
