The next film for director William Brent Bell, the filmmaker behind The Boy and The Devil Inside, is titled Separation and has just added several to its cast. Deadline is reporting that Brian Cox, Mamie Gummer, Madeline Brewer, and Violet McGraw join previously announced actor Rupert Friend.
Nick Amadeus and Joshua Braun penned the script for the film described as a cross between “Kramer vs. Kramer, Sixth Sense and Mama”, and explores the horror of divorce.
Jeff (Friend) and Maggie (Gummer) are a newly separated couple in a battle for custody of their 7-year-old daughter, played by McGraw.
Separation will open in theaters sometime next year.
