Blumhouse has continued to impress with their genre projects including their one episode a month holiday horror-themed anthology series “Into the Dark“. We’ve learned that the genre powerhouse is now gearing up to do something similar with Amazon Prime.
Deadline is reporting that Amazon Studios has closed an exclusive production deal with Blumhouse Television for a series of eight features films that will be somehow connected.
We are delighted Amazon is entrusting Blumhouse to deliver its signature thrills and chills to its global audience through this deal,” said Jason Blum. “This is a great opportunity for Blumhouse Television to empower underrepresented filmmakers offering a fresh take on the dark genres loved by fans the world over.”
