I know what you’re thinking, “A product review?!” yes, and buckle up! The awesome folks at NoSweat sent me one of their hat liners to try out for you guys. NoSweat makes liners for hats, (sports) helmets, and hard hats.
The liners are designed to wick away sweat and prevent it from dripping down your face, and in this case, protecting your hat from becoming discolored or stained with sweat. These liners are currently being used by professional athletes Scott Langley, Stewart Cink, Brandon McManus, Dallas Keuchel, Golden Tate, TJ Oshie, Matt Adams, and Kerry Feirman.

Now onward to the review! The liners come in an easy to open (and resalable) bag. The instructions are pretty much repeated all over the bag even with a picture showing you how it should be put into the ball cap. The back of the liner is pretty sticky so you got to make sure you’re lined up right on the first try. The liners are designed for being put on the “front side” of the rim of your hat… I usually wear my hats backward (depending on what I’m doing) so I stuck mine on the “back side” of my hat, which was really tricky.

Once I put on the hat, it took me a few minutes to get used to the feeling, the liner felt like padding but nothing really uncomfortable or distracting. Unfortunately, it’s not that warm here in New York this time of year so it’s hard to sweat, so I did some tool restoration work. After about an hour I could definitely feel my head was sweaty signaling to stop what I was doing and check out my hat.
I was pleasantly surprised, my hat was wet with sweat but where I had the NoSweat liner was dry! Hopefully, you can see with my work hat in the picture, the dark blue on my hat is where I was sweating and the light blue was where the liner was placed!

While working I did not have sweat rolling down my face, no pauses to wipe off my brow, just uninterrupted work. It reminds me of wearing a bandana without having the constricting feeling around my head!
Another great thing about the NoSweat hat liner is that it’s disposable, so when I was done with it, I peeled it out from my hat and threw it away. The adhesive left no mark in the fabric of my hat as well as no sticky residue.
Now here’s the thing you may have noticed, my hat was all sweaty, well, I shave my head and because of that I have no hair to catch the sweat on my head itself which leads me to my only complaint about this product, I wish there was a full hat liner for guys like me, who shave their heads.

This is what it feels like when you’re bald and sweat.

There’s another use for this product that’s right up your guy’s alley. Going to see a horror movie in theatres while wearing your favorite hat, while your fellow moviegoers are sweating as they nervously watch the film, you’ll look confident sitting in the celluloid glow of the big screen. Would I use this again? YES! I actually lost a couple good hats to sweat so something like NoSweat is great.
