Netflix Unveils First Trailer For New Umbrella Academy Series

Netflix has unveiled the first trailer for their upcoming original series “The Umbrella Academy” premiering this February.
The live-action series centers on the estranged members of a highly dysfunctional family of superheroes as they work together to solve the mysterious death of their father Reginald Hardgraves and attempt to save the world.
Tom Hopper (“Black Sails”, “Game of Thrones”) stars as “Luther,” Emmy Raver-Lampman plays “Allison,”, David Castañeda (Sicario) appears as “Diego,” Robert Sheehan (Bad Samaritan, Mute) as “Klaus,” and Aidan Gallagher plays the role of “Number Five.” Flatliners actress Ellen Page stars as Vanya who is the black sheep of her family and the only one of Reginald Hargreeves’ adoptive children that has no supernatural abilities.
 
 

 
 
The film is based on the award-winning Dark Horse Comics’ graphic novel of the same name that was created and written by Gerard Way (My Chemical Romance) and illustrated by Gabriel Bá. The script for the series’ pilot was adapted by Jeremy Slater (“The Exorcist”).
The Umbrella Academy” is set to premiere on Netflix February 15, 2019.
