While Jeffrey Dean Morgan has been making a name for himself on “The Walking Dead” as Negan, “Supernatural” fans have been praying for his return as John Winchester, father of Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles). Well, someone upstairs has been listening because he’s back!
Morgan is set to reprise the role of Poppa Winchester for the 300th episode, titled “Lebanon,” which will air on Thursday, February 7th at 8/7c.
The last time we saw Morgan as John a decade ago in the season 2 finale when he escaped Hell to kill Azazel and avenge his wife’s murder. We’ve seen the character several times since, but as his younger self, but played by another actor, Matt Cohen.
