Just because the holidays have passed does not mean you can’t spoil yourself or someone else with a treat or two. I was able to get the opportunity to try out a unique product that has me raising a glass…or two…or three…
All jokes aside, meet the awesome folks at TOAST, they make handcrafted covers/cases for phones, laptops, and game systems out of wood or leather! When I say covers/cases out of wood, I mean REAL wood, cool right?! Don’t believe me? Norman Reedus has one of their covers for his iPhone 4 (made of walnut with a skull and crossbones design on it).

I was lucky enough to be allowed to try out one of their products, a leather sleeve meant for a pint glass. The sleeve comes in a variety of colors (named after drinks), I got mine in “scotch” (brown), and if you want, you can have a design or text laser-etched on the leather, I chose the Assassin’s Emblem from “Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate”. Once it arrived, I was not disappointed!

The sleeve is in fact real leather (it passed the smell test!) and the stitch work holding it together is perfect, I’m not afraid of it coming apart! As for the design, it came out perfect as well!

The pint glass I got with it is sturdy, dare I say restaurant quality, after a quick wash in the sink it was ready for testing.

Filling it with my favorite brand of beer that’s been chilling for a while in the fridge, I was able to sit down with family and talk while having a sip or two. Later on, I noticed that the sleeve was cool to the touch and thought that maybe I was warming my beer, after sliding the sleeve off the glass I was (happily) shocked to feel that my pint glass was still cold, like can out of the fridge cold!
I really like this product! With its stylish design that actually serves a purpose makes it a must-have for someone who has a special glass for whatever they want to drink out of a pint glass, and the glass itself is worth the extra $8! The leather kept my hand warm and my drink cold while at the same time giving a look of sophistication (depending if you choose to keep the sleeve blank or not).
An idea for horror fans out there would be to get your favorite character’s face etched on the leather…

I mean come on, it’s fitting, right?

I give the leather pint sleeve by TOAST a 5 on my scale of five stars! If you would like to see some of their work, check out their Instagram!
