This Hellboy will be much darker and more brutal than its predecessors, which were both PG-13. In Fact, during a talk with Empire star David Harbour gave fans a taste of what they can expect in the (hard) R movie.

Based on the graphic novels by Mike Mignola, in the film Hellboy (Harbour), caught between the worlds of the supernatural and human, battles an ancient sorceress (Milla Jovovich) bent on revenge.
Ian McShane, Sasha Lane, and Daniel Dae Kim also star in Hellboy which will arrive in theaters on April 12, 2019, from Lionsgate.
