Two Legendary Characters Returning To ‘Resident Evil 2’

Today fans got the chance to play the demo of the upcoming Resident Evil 2 where they only have one shot to escape the Raccoon City Police Department building in 30 minutes. I tried and failed (but did not die!).
Even if you completed the challenge in the 1 Shot Demo, your reward is the latest trailer for the upcoming game. Those familiar with the original story will see that there are some minor changes but it seems the overall story is the same.
 
 

 
 
 
To my surprise and joy, the trailer also teased at the return of two legendary characters that appear at the end of the original Resident Evil 2, HUNK and Tofu!
 
 

 
 
In the original game, after completing the main story, an extra game mode would start called 4^th Survivor where HUNK is the sole survivor of a special operations team sent to recover samples of the G-virus. This is the only time the character is seen as a vital role in the “Resident Evil” franchise and only appears in later games just as a playable character in challenge-based bonus games.
 
 

 
 
The next character is legendary for being the most random, Tofu. As the name suggests…it’s just a block of tofu that only speaks Japanese and slowly changes color the more damage it takes. As silly as it sounds, it’s nice knowing that Capcom will (hopefully) include Tofu in the final game.
