The first trailer is here for Hereditary director Ari Aster‘s latest film Midsommar revealing a far too perfect town with far too pleasant people and something dark lurking around the corner.
Jack Reynor, Will Poulter, Florence Pugh, Vilhem Blomgren, Ellora Torchia, William Jackson Harper, and Archie Madekwe star in Midsommar.
In the film, “Pugh and Reynor will play a couple that travels to Sweden to visit their friend’s rural hometown for its fabled mid-summer festival. What begins as an idyllic retreat quickly devolves into an increasingly violent and bizarre competition at the hands of a pagan cult.”
A24 will release Midsommar in theaters on August 9, 2019.
