Last year, we reported that Universal was working on a new adaptation of the hit video game Doom. Today, we have the first images (via Dread Central) from the movie. Titled Doom: Annihilation, the straight-to-video movie promises to be an action-packed flick that honors the game.
Written and directed by Tony Giglio (S.W.A.T.: Under Siege), Doom: Annihilation centers on a group of marines as they respond to a distress call from a base on a Martian moon, only to discover it’s been overrun by demonic creatures who threaten to create Hell on Earth.
Amy Manson (”Atlantis”), Luke Allen-Gale (“Dominion”), Dominic Mafham (Ophelia), and Nina Bergman (The Car: Road to Revenge) star in the movie executive produced by Lorenzo Di Bonaventura (Bumblebee), and John Wells (“Animal Kingdom”). Jeffery Beach (Jarhead 3: The Siege), Phillip Roth (Death Race: 4 Beyond Anarchy) and Ogden Gavanski (Cult of Chucky) are producing.
Doom: Annihilation will land on home video this Fall, from Universal 1440 Entertainment.
