Writer-director Mark Atkins is taking us to a world filled with monsters this summer in his upcoming action-horror film Monster Island (aka Monster Bash!)
In the film, “the world tries to stop a giant Kaiju bent on destruction, more and more monsters appear — each one more terrible than the last — leaving mankind defenseless until our heroes reach out to a specialist versed in monster lore.”
Adrian Bouchet (The Last Kingdom, Final Fantasy) stars alongside Natalie Robbie (Welcome to Murder Town), Chris Fisher (Black Sails, 6 Headed Shark Attack), and Donna Cormack-Thomson, with the Monster Expert being played by Award-winning South African actor Margot Wood. Eric Roberts guest stars along with kaiju film star Toshi Toda (Sony Pictures’ GODZILLA, The Great Buddha Arrival).
Visual effects were supervised by Glenn Campble who also worked on films such as Tron, Dick Tracey, The Green Hornet, and several of the Sharknado franchise as well as Syfy’s “Z Nation.”
Asylum Entertainment produced and will release Monster Island this Summer.
