Today, the paranormal community mourn the heartbreaking loss of Lorraine Warren, perhaps the most well known paranormal investigator and psychic of the 20th century, along with her husband Ed Warren.

The announcement was just made by a close family friend and representative of the Warren estate, Tony Spera.

It is with deep sadness that I must announce that Lorraine Warren has passed away. She died peacefully in her sleep at her home last night. The family requests that you respect their privacy at this time. Lorraine touched many lives and was loved by so many. She was a remarkable, loving, compassionate and giving soul. To quote Will Rogers, she never met a person she didn’t like. She was an avid animal lover and contributed to animal charities. She was wonderful and giving to her entire family.

Lorraine and her husband Ed were a pioneering force in the world of paranormal investigating, participating in investigations that included Amityville and many more.

Mrs. Warren was portrayed by Vera Farmiga in The Conjuring universe that included The Conjuring and The Conjuring 2, Annabelle, and The Nun.

Lorraine Warren can now rest in peace.
