Writer-director Neil Burger (Divergent) is headed to outer space for his next film, a sci-fi horror picture titled Voyagers, described as “Lord of the Flies in space.” The first casting news has come and it reveals some impressive names.
Deadline is reporting that Colin Farrell (Fantastic Beasts And Where to Find Them), Lily-Rose Depp (The King), Tye Sheridan (Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse), Fionn Whitehead (Dunkirk) and Keean Johnson (Alita: Battle Angel) have already signed on to star. Isaac Hempstead Wright (Game Of Thrones), Kelvin Harrison (Mudbound), Chanté Adams (Roxanne Roxanne) and Madison Hu (Bizaardvark) are currently in negotiation to join the cast.
In the film, “30 children are sent on a multi-generational mission to populate a new planet. After the captain of the mission is killed in mysterious circumstances, the young crew descends into chaos, aligning themselves into tribes as they surrender to their most feral impulses.”
AGC Studios are producing along with Thunder Road.
