We reported last week that Eli Craig‘s Tucker and Dale vs Evil will fight evil again. While we wait for a new installment, news has come that Craig has just signed on to direct a new horror comedy, Bride and Doom. Josh Parkinson is co-writing the script with Craig.

Craig, who also wrote and directed Netflix’s supernatural comedy Little Evil, has signed on to direct the wedding-themed horror flick from Argent Pictures and Mandalay Pictures.

Being described as Cloverfield meets My Big Fat Greek Wedding, the movie centers on a young couple struggling to hold onto their relationship during the worst possible wedding day ever.

I’m an unabashed fan of wedding movies, but I think we’re past the point of seeing everything work out in the end. Everything doesn’t always work out, and weddings are sometimes the worst day of people’s lives. So let’s make an honest wedding movie for a change — let’s make it a horror movie!” Eli Craig has stated.

Jill Ahrens, Ryan Ahrens, and Ben Renzo are producing for Argent Pictures along with Mandalay Pictures’ Jason Michael Berman. Drew Brees, Tony Parker, Michael Finley, and Derrick Brooks are executive producing.
