DREAD and Epic Pictures are ready to unleash Redcon-1, from director Chee Keong Cheung, who co-wrote the script along with Steve Horvath and Mark Strange.

In the film, “After a deadly viral outbreak, an elite squad of special forces soldiers must infiltrate a quarantine zone to rescue a scientist who holds the only cure to save mankind.”

Oris Erhuero (Highlander: Endgame), Carlos Gallardo (Red 11), Mark Strange (Best Laid Plans), Katarina Leigh Waters (Karate Kill), Martyn Ford (Viking Destiny), and Joshua Dickinson (The Mirror) star.

The film is executive produced by Kevin Eastman (co-creator of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and publisher of Heavy Metal), Carlos Gallardo (producer of El Mariachi and Desperado), and Stephen L’Heureux (producer of Frank Miller’s Sin City: A Dame to Kill For), edited by Chris Gill (28 Days Later, 28 Weeks Later) and Martin Hunter (Event Horizon, Full Metal Jacket).
