The countdown to Halloween has officially begun! One annual tradition that shouldn’t be missed is “The Simpsons” “Treehouse of Horror”. Fox has now released the poster for this year’s special, “Tree House of Horror XXX“, which happens to be the 666th episode of the series.
This year’s poster takes aim at Netflix’s hit series “Stranger Things“. Lisa Simpson is front and center on the poster with a short hair cut and a bloody nose, looking like Millie Bobby Brown’s character Eleven, with Bart, Martin, and Nelson as Mike, Dustin, and Lucus and Chief Wiggum as Jim Hooper.
It’s also teased that Guillermo del Toro’s award-winning film The Shape of Water will also be mentioned in the special. At the top of the poster, we see Selma and an alien replicating the water scene from the film.
“Tree House of Horror XXX” will premiere on Fox on Sunday, October 20, 2019.
