Ahead of its August release, the trailer has been unveiled for writer-director William McGregor’s dark folk horror, Gwen, teasing a family in peril.
The film centers on Gwen, a young girl desperately trying to hold her home together – struggling with her mother’s mysterious illness, her father’s absence and a ruthless mining company encroaching on their land. As a growing darkness begins to take grip of her home, the local community grows suspicious and turns on Gwen and her family.
Starring Maxine Peake and Eleanor Worthington-Cox, Gwen will be unleashed on Digital HD and On Demand August 16, 2019, from Shudder and RLJE Films.
