James Wan (The Conjuring franchise) is taking horror fans camping with the new film “The Troop“, which he will produce under his Atomic Monster banner. Atomic Monster announced earlier this week that it has acquired the rights to the book “The Troop,” penned by Nick Cutter.

The movie follows a group of teens camping at a remote location who are forced to fend for themselves when their adult chaperone falls victim to an otherworldly infection.

E.L. Katz (“Channel Zero: Dream Door”) will direct “The Troop” with Noah Gardner and Aidan Fitgerald adapting the screenplay. Michael Clear and Judson Scott will produce along with Atomic Monster.
