It’s hard to believe that we’ve spent fourteen seasons watching Sam, Dean, Cass, and the Winchester family fight tooth an nail to save the world and each other time and time again.

The season opens with Sam on the hunt for Dean and Michael, but with no real idea how to save Dean, which is a reoccurring theme throughout the season.

Things are pure chaos. Between Jack losing his grace, Dean being used as Michael’s vessel and Sam’s new role as leader of a pack of hunters. Things usually end in bloodshed on the show, but the Winchesters learn a hard lesson in season 14, that they can’t save everyone, including those they hold most dear.

One thing is always guaranteed when you watch “Supernatural,” it will be a roller coaster of emotion, and season fourteen is no different. The boys go head-to-head with angels, vamps, demons, and more. Each character finds themselves in serious danger, including when something goes terribly wrong with Jack and the boys are left scrambling to protect the world. The boys are being pulled in so many directions and have so many hard decisions to make, but they do so with the best intentions.

I do have to admit, Jensen Ackles, in my opinion, is at his best when he’s angry Dean. He projects bad boy gone good, tough guy like few can. At the same time, Jared Padalecki is his best Sam when he’s worried. The special bond that Ackles and Padalecki have truly shines when the two are together on screen. You really could see them as brothers.

Let’s not forget Misha Collins’ Castiel. His dry wit is top-notch, though Cas always comes across sad. Sam and Dean would be lost without him. Now that Cas has a charge, Jack, he really has a reason to fight again.

Jack (Alexander Calvert) is a great addition to the family but always seems to be involved with the chaos in one way or another. He brings new life to the show. And brings out Sam, Dean, and Cas’ tender side as all three act as his fathers.

The season 14 finale will leave you with a pit in your stomach and tears in your eyes. We all know that next season is the last and the finale sets it up in an epic way. Before you watch the finale, grab a box of tissues, you’re going to need it. You may want to have a drink too.

I’ve been a “Supernatural” fan for 14 seasons and there’s a reason for that, the show constantly evolves without losing its heart.
