Rocker Marilyn Manson has joined the beautiful people that make up the cast of Starz’s “American Gods” for the series’ third season, Deadline reports.
Manson will play the blood-thirsty character Johan Wengren, a berserker and the lead singer of the Viking death metal band Blood Death. Engren and Blood Death are a source of power for Mr. Wednesday aka Odin (Ian McShane) during the upcoming war between the old gods and the new gods. Kind of great fit isn’t it?
This won’t be Manson’s first role on the small screen. He has had roles on both “Salem” and the biker drama “Sons of Anarchy.”
Season three of “American Gods” will premiere some time in 2020. Manson will be featured in a four-episode arc.
