The Wrong Turn franchise is currently one of the longest horror franchises still up and running. The latest movie has just begun filming in Richmond, Ohio and is being described as a reboot.
While most of the sequels have been straight to video, reportedly this one is going to have a bigger budget that may put the freaks back on the big screen.
In the updated version directed by Mike P. Nelson follows a “cross-country hiking expedition that finds a group of friends in the land of an inclusive society, where they soon discover they are under a different law, and may not be the victims they thought they were.”
Alan McElroy who wrote the original penned the script for the reboot that stars Emma Dumont, Charlotte Vega, Dylan McTee, Adrian Favela, David Hutchinson, Adain Bradley, Cory Scott Allen, and Vardaan Arora.
