Not only will rocker/actor Marilyn Manson be starring in the new adaptation of Stephen King’s “The Stand“, he’s also contributing to the soundtrack.

His cover of The Door’s “The End” for the CBS All Access series has been released and it’s incredible. Listen.

This is not the first cover Manson has rocked. He’s made his own versions of Tainted Love,  Gerard McMahon‘s “Cry Little Sister” made famous by The Lost Boys film, and most recently “God’s Gonna Cut You Down” which was also covered by Johnny Cash and Elvis.

Alexander Skarsgård, Whoopi Goldberg, Jovan Adepo, Marilyn Manson, Owen Teague, Heather Graham, Brad William Henke, Daniel Sunjata, James Marsden, Amber Heard, Nat Wolff, Eion Bailey, Odessa Young, Katherine McNamara, Henry Zaga, and Hamish Linklater star in the series.

The series will depict Stephen King‘s tale of a world decimated by plague and locked in a struggle between good and evil. The fate of mankind rests on the shoulders of the 108-year-old Mother Abagail (Goldberg) and a handful of survivors and their worst nightmare, Randall Flagg (Skarsgård), an evil man with unspeakable powers.
