The sequel to 2016’s Korean zombie outbreak hit Train to Busan is finally heading our way in the summer of 2020! The title is up for debate, according to different news sources, it’s either Soompi or Bando. In English it’s Peninsula

The film will mark the return of director Yeon San-ho and this time things will be even “more desperate and fierce” in the fight for survival that picks up four years after the original.

Lee Jung Hyun (The Battleship Island) and Gang Dong-Won (The Priest) will star as tough survivors who are leading the peninsula’s military units.

Yeon described the sequel as “an extension of Train to Busan after the virus has spread throughout Korea, but the characters are not the same. It shares the same world view and is a zombie action film that deals with the aftermath on the peninsula of what happened in Train to Busan.”

Soompi/ Bado/Peninsula is set to be released on August 12, 2020.
